Color-Coded File Folders
Get your paperwork organized using the ultimate filing system: color-coding!
Creating a useful and manageable filing system is a challenge faced by every teacher. File organization runs the gamut from systems with hundreds of folders which are too numerous to quickly find anything to piles of papers stacked on desktops, in cupboards, and hidden away in drawers. In his book, Time Management for Teachers, Scott Purdy suggests a method to organize all of your professional files into color-coded sets of file folders, each color representing a different category of your papers.
Unfortunately, office supply stores don't sell packets of multi-colored file folders, so we have done the legwork for you. The set contains 64 file folders—eight folders of eight different colors—and has been separated by tab position (i.e. you get roughly equal numbers of folders with tabs in the left, center, and right positions). If you want to get your files in order, clear your desk, and always be able to find what you are seeking, this is the set of file folders you need!
Colors include: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, maroon, and gray.
