Posters and Other Resources for Teaching Grammar
"Yes, You Must Teach Grammar" is one of the chapters in the book, Teaching Students to Write by Scott Purdy. However, there is no point teaching grammar for grammar's sake. If our students are ever going to "buy in" to learning parts of speech, punctuation, capitalization, and usage, we must make this instruction as practical, purposeful, and painless as possible.
The teacher resources presented below provide reminders and summaries of grammar rules. When used in the classroom, these applications become easier to integrate into all curriculum areas as opposed to a fifteen minute hit-and-miss lesson which most students (and many teachers) would prefer to miss.
